the Consulate General of the
Federal Republic of Germany
will host a special viewing of
a Rainer Werner Fassbinder
film titled Fear Eats The Soul
— Ali 7:30 p.m. June 3 at the
AMC Maple Theater in
Bloomfield Hills.
The film tells how a Ger-
man charwoman and widow
falls in love and marries Ali,
a young Moroccan who has
come to Germany to earn a
living as a garage mechanic.
The film explores the subse-
quent ostracism and multi-
ethnic prejudice.
A talkback with Professor
Hans Fabian of the Univer-
