Jerusalem Day
Plans Are Set

AJE Holds
Graduation

Yom Yerushalyim — Jerusa-
lem Day — the final event in
the month-long series of
Israel-related community pro-
grams, will be celebrated at a
party for teens 5-7 p.m. May
23 at the United Hebrew
Schools building in South-
field. Sponsored by the De-
troit Zionist Federation, the
celebration, open to all high
school students, will observe
the 26th anniversary of the
reunification of Jerusalem.
Jeff Gell and Lisa Zaks,
BBYO and Evan Shapiro,
Temple Israel MSTY, will
describe their trip to Israel
and the importance it held for
them. New American teens
will read portions of the
"Jerusalem Covenant," a doc-
cument signed by 16 of
Israel's national leaders, reaf-
firming that Jerusalem,
"unified and whole, is the
Capital of Israel."
Three scholarships for a
sponsored Israel trip will be
given as door prizes. Informa-
tion on all Israel programs for
teens will be displayed, offer-
ing an opportunity for teens
to talk to others who have
been on these trips. The event
will also include Israeli sing-
ing and dancing and a kosher
pizza supper. Admission is
free.

The following are graduates
of the Agency for Jewish
Education in the Community
