> Bikurim Festival

A bikurim festival will be
held at Congregation Shaarey
Zedek May 26 at the Shavuot
service.
The festival will feature
children of the Beth Hayeled
who will march in a proces-
sional. The service will also
feature students of Shaarey
Zedek High School, who will
read Torah and portions from
the Book of Ruth. Students
from Hillel Day School also
will offer a discourse on the
theme of "Revelation: Giving
of the Torah."
Rabbi William Gershon will
speak on "Your People Are
My People." Cantor Chaim
Najman and the synagogue
choir will chant musical
selections for Shavuot. Rabbi
Irwin Groner and Cantor
Sidney Rube will lead in
worship.
