Adat Shalom
Shabbat Lunch

Adat Shalom Synagogue and
the Agency for Jewish Educa-
tion will co-sponsor a Shabbat
luncheon 12:30 p.m. May 22
in honor of Bea Kriechman,
as she prepared to retire from
her position as principal of
the Adat Shalom-United
Hebrew Schools branch and
nearly a half-century career
in Jewish education.
Mr. Kreichman graduated
from Temple University and
became an English teacher in
the public schools, working
after school as a substitute
Hebrew school teacher. In her
47 years with United Hebrew
Schools, Mrs. Kreichman has
been a teacher and an ad-
ministrator. She started the
Southfield branch of UHS,
which eventually became the
Beth Achim Hebrew School.
For the past 15 years she has
been at the Adat Shalom
Branch, first as assistant
principal and then as
principal.
The luncheon in Mrs.
Kreichman's honor will begin
following Shabbat morning
services and kiddush. There
is a charge. For information,
call the synagogue office,
851-5100.

B'nai Moshe

Hosts Speaker

Congregation B'nai Moshe
will have a light dairy dinner
after 6 p.m. services Erev
Shavuot, May 25 at the
synagogue.
Following dinner, Dr. Elliot
Ginsburg, associate professor
of Jewish studies and Jewish
thought at the University of
Michigan; will speak on
"Standing At Sinai in the
Rabbinic Imagination."
