Holds Program

The Jewish Genealogy
Society of Michigan will
present a program on
"Caring for Precious Old
Family Papers and Photos"
7:30 p.m. May 20 in the
Midrasha Library at the
United Hebrew Schools.
Two professional
archivists, Judy Kirsh and
Carolyn Texley, will
demonstrate how to care
for and preserve old docu-
ments, newspapers and
photos for future genera-
tions.
First-time attendees and
society members are admit-
ted free. The meeting will
be preceded by a "help" ses-
sion at 7 p.m.

Midrasha Sets
Lunch, Learn

Dr. Irving Panush, professor
of humanities at Oakland
Community College, will lead
a lunch and learn session on
Jewish ethical literature
noon May 19 at the Max M.
Fisher Building, sponsored by
Midrasha College of Jewish
Studies.
Dr. Panush's topic will be
"The Self and Others?' There
is a charge for lunch and for
the study session, which will
run to 1:30 p.m. Students may -
register for the study session
only, without lunch, if they
desire. It is not necessary to
have attended previous ses-
sions in the series in order to
register.

Rabbi Arnold Sleutelberg of
Congregation Shir Tikvah
will present the last lecture in
a lunch and learn series co-
sponsored by the B'nai B'rith
Michigan Regional Council,
Michigan Board of Rabbis
and the Midrasha-College of
Jewish Studies noon May 20
at United Hebrew Schools.
Rabbi Sleutelberg will
speak on "Passover's Rele-
vance to Oppressed People?' A
kosher lunch will be served.
There is a charge. Partici-
pants unable to participate in
the lunch may attend the lec-
ture only, which begins at
12:30 p.m.
