The Adult Services Depart-
ment of the Jewish Commu-
nity Center of Metropolitan
Detroit will offer the follow-
ing trips. For information and
pricing, call Marilyn Wolfe,
661-1000.
A 2 p.m. performance of
Forever Plaid will be May 19
at the Gem Theatre preceded
by lunch at Traffic Jam. The
cost includes transportation,
theater and lunch. The bus
will depart from Maple-Drake
at 10:30 a.m. and from JPM
at 11 a.m.
A trip to Kensington
Metropark will be June 16.
Pack your own lunch; we'll
supply the drinks and snacks.
Ride on the "Island Queen,"
rent a rowboat or paddleboat,
take a nature walk or just re-
lax. The bus departs JPM 10
a.m. and Maple-Drake 10:30
a.m.
There will be a Gallery
Crawl through downtown De-
troit's art shops and galleries
June 23. Tour Pewabic Pot-
tery and the Detroit Artists
Market Lunch at the Pegasus
restaurant in the Fisher
Building. The bus departs
Maple-Drake at 9 a.m. and
JPM at 9:30 a.m.
A trip is planned to Nia-
gara-on-the-Lake, Ontario,
July 20-21 for the Shaw Fes-
tival. The trip includes one-
night accommodation at the
Prince of Wales Hotel, dinner
at the Luis House, main-floor
seating for Gentleman Prefer
Blondes as well as Then There
Were None.
The Adult Services De-,
partment will host a summer
camp experience at the Butzel
Conference Center July 5-11.
Enjoy boating, canoeing, folk
dance, discussion groups, fish-
ing and nature walks. Three
kosher meals are served daily.
Applications can be obtained
from either the Maple-Drake
or JPM building. For infor-
mation, call Adult Services,

IRP Elects
New Council

Ethel Silberg was elected
chairperson of the governing
council of the Institute for Re-
tired Professionals for 1993-
94.
Other incoming IRP gov-
erning council members in-
clude Jack Hurwitz, Bess
Berris, Sidney Levine, vice-
chairpersons; Edith Polk,
secretary; Jack Bodzin, treas-
urer; Bertha Chomsky, Alan
Kandel, ex officio; Dr. Bern-
hard Pepper, chairman
executive board.
