Women's League
Sets Conference

Michigan Branch Women's
League for Conservative
Judaism will convene in Beth
Israel Congregation, Ann Ar-
bor, for their annual spring
conference May 16, 17. WLCJ
is celebrating "Seventy-five
Years of Vision and Volun-
tarism."
Sally Abbey will give the
keynote address at the Sun-
day banquet. The program,
"Women of Distinction," will
honor: Harlene Appelman,
Jewish educator; Janet
Hankin, sociology depart-
ment head, WSU; Judith
Lakin Elkin, professor U-M;
Sherry Margolis, Channel 2
news anchor; and Susan
Moiseev, Oakland County
District judge. Betsy Winkel-
man will be the moderator.
Monday will begin with a
Women's Shacharit service,
followed by a continental
breakfast and a Torah study
session with Rabbi Robert
Dobrusin. After lunch there
will be a Torah fund work-
shop led by Florence Gerber.
Tom Wexelberg-Clouser will
speak on behalf of the Jewish
Theology Seminary.
