Moshe Edelman Beth Achim Hosts Rabbi The Cultural Commission of Congregation Beth Achim in conjunction with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism will host a Shabbat lunch May 15 following ser- vices at the synagogue. Rabbi Moshe Edelman will be the speaker. His topic will be "The story behind the Shema." Rabbi Edelman, who is the director of leadership devel- opment for the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism and serves as the associate director of regional and extension activities, has been instrumental in expan- ding synagogue membership and involvement through in- novative programs. Rabbi Edelman has been a long time member of the United Synagogue Commission on Jewish Education, the Na- tional Youth Commission, the KOACH Committee and the Solomon Schechter Day School Association.
