Pesick-Bernstein
Davida Bernstein and Robert
Pesick were recently married
at Congregation Adat Sha-
lom. Rabbi Efry Spectre
officiated along with the
bride's cousin, rabbinical stu-
dent Steven Gross.
The bride is the daughter of
Richard and Beverly Berns-
tein. The groom is the son of
Paul and Elaine Pesick.
Davida's matron of honor
was her sister, Jill Rutchik.
Bridesmaids were Amy Got-
tlieb, Laura Rubenstein, Lori
Krause, Mara Rubenstein
and Susie Rekowski.
Rob's best man was his
brother, Mike Pesick. The
groomsmen were Scott Rut-
chik, Wayne Segal, John In-
chaustegui, Scott Miller and
Dave Fifer.
Davida's grandmothers,
Sarah Ginns, Elsie Bernstein
and Minnie Cowen, partici-
pated in the wedding along
with her Uncle Fred and
cousin Ron Rubenstein.
Rob's grandmother, Dolly
Simon, and grandparents,
Julius and Nettie Pesick, also
shared in their special day.
After honeymooning in
Jamaica, Davida and Rob
now reside in Farmington
Hills.

temple. The series will ex-
amine what we can do to en-
sure that our children and
grandchildren will make
Judaism and Jewish values a
part of their adult lives.
On May 10, Dottie Dressler
will discuss "Jewish Parent-
ing (and Grandparenting):
Challenges and Opportuni-
ties." Dottie Dressler has
been on the staff of Jewish
Experiences For Families
(JEFF) for the last two years.
On May 17, Harlene Ap-
pelman will present "Raising
Self Reliant Children In A
Self Indulgent Society." Ms.
Appelman is the editor of the
Jewish Family, a magazine
published by the Alef Design
Group, and director of field
services of the Whizen In-
stitute for the Jewish Family
at the University of Judaism.
On May 24, Ira J. Wise will
discuss "Judaism As A Con-
tact Sport: Doing Jewish
Things With Your Family."
Ira Wise is the temple
educator of Emanu-El.
