He was chief soloist in
the Israel Army Choir.
He received the
American-Israel Cultural
Foundation Award pre-
sented by Maestro Zubin
Mehta and was the first
recipient of the Sam
Levinson Cultural Arts
Foundation Award in the
United States

Aish HaTorah
Plans Seminar

Aish HaTorah will hold a
Discovery Seminar May 23
at the Maple-Drake Jewish
Community Center.
Through a series of presen-
tations, Discovery address-
es the issues of "Why be
Jewish" and "Is Judaism
true, can we know it?"
Developed in Israel eight
years ago by a team of sci-
entists and professionals,
the seminar was translated
and adapted for Western
audiences.
There is a charge.
Breakfast and lunch will be
served ,and there will be
day care available. The
price also will include a
textbook. For information
