diagnostic imaging systems
and products, Elscint has
helped to accelerate the
course of medical decision-
making. Its magnetic
resonance imaging is used for
imaging of the central ner-
vous system, cardiac, ab-
dominal and musculo-
skeleton areas. Its com-
puterized tomography scan-
ner for head, spine, and ab-
dominal scans is known for
equipment performance.
The explosion of color in

based in Herzliya, created a
new industry by introducing
the first color electronic pre-
press system. The daring in-
novation revolutionized pre-

Scitex's electronic pre-press
systems have becoem more
and more sophisticated, and
accessible, not only for the
high-end professional market
but for desk-top publishing as
well.
This potential is increasing
every day. In 1990 alone,
20,000 professional Russian
immigrants arrived in Israel,
many bringing technological
experience on which new
science-based industries are
