evening's topic will be

Midwest: Israel In the Eyes
Of The Media — How Do
We Respond?" Light kosher
hors d'oeuvres will be
served.
Morton Kondracke, senior
editor of the New Republic
and Roll Call, and Toby
Dershowitz, director of
Media Relations for AIPAC,
will be the featured speak-
ers. Mr. Kondracke is best
known as a panelist on "The
McLaughlin Group," the
public affairs television
show; Miss Dershowitz is
the author of the AIPAC
publication, "Communicat-
ing with the Media: The
Pro-Israel Activist's Man-
ual."
AIPAC — the American
Israel Public Affairs
Committee — is the only
American organization
whose sole mission is to
lobby Congress on legisla-
tion affecting Israel.

Shulamit Aloni is min-
ister of education and
culture of the State of
israel, a member of the
Knesset and founder and
head of the Citizens'
Rights Movement, the
leader of the Merez coali-
tion. In addition, she is a
founding member of the
Israel Association of
Secular Humanistic
Judaism as well as a
leading feminist, activist,
writer and a defender of
civil liberties and human
rights in Israel.
There is no admission
charge.
