OUR VOLUNTEERS I\II ational Council of Jewish Women sets aside a special time to honor its volunteers. This year Greater Detroit Section has selected April 18 to April 24 to acknowledge all the the wonderful volunteers who donate their time and talents toward helping NCJW meet human needs and improve the quality of life for people of all ages, races and religious backgrounds. Many volunteers contribute by serving on various administrative com- mittees, engage in advocacy, assist in public relations activities, and work in the office to supplement staff. WASHINGTON INSTITUTE A heartfelt THANK YOU to all our dues paying NCJW members who help support our programs here and in Israel. r JEWISH FEDERATION APART- MENT SHOPPING BUS: weekly shopping transportation for apartment residents. I wish to know more about volunteer opportunities JEWISH NEWS ON TAPE: volunteers prepare tapes for the visually impaired. NCJW EVENING GROUP: an alternative to daytime programming. PASSPORT TO ISRAEL: volunteers bringing Israel to 5th graders in cooperation with Jewish Community Council. SPACE: volunteers help meet the needs of single parent families (separated, widowed and divorced) through support groups, workshops and retreats.
