Singles Mission
Set For June

An information meeting for
the annual National
Hatikvah Singles Mission to
Israel will be held 7 p.m.
April 27 at the Jewish
Federation's Max M. Fisher
Building. The mission will
take place June 27-July 8.
The meeting will include a
discussion of the mission
itinerary, reminiscences of
past mission participants and
general information.
Sponsored nationally by the
United Jewish Appeal and
locally by the Jewish Federa-
tion of Metropolitan Detroit,
the mission will give singles
25-40 the opportunity to meet
their peers from throughout
the United States and Israel
for social and travel oppor-
tunities. Eric Gould and Jen-
nifer Morse are Detroit
chairmen.
The mission itinerary in-
cludes visits to museums,
historical sites and Detroit's
Project Renewal sister city of
Yavne. Other highlights are
an archaeological dig, a Kab-
balat Shabbat service at the
Western Wall, meetings with
kibbutzniks and new Israelis,
a tour of Jerusalem, enter-
tainment, lectures and out-
door sports.
Cost of the mission for
Allied Jewish Campaign con-
tributors of $500 or more is
$1,950. It includes deluxe ac-
commodations, round-trip air-
fare from New York and most
meals.
Application deadline is May
13. A final information
meeting will be held May 6.
