Temple Sets
Music Concert

For some people,
there just aren't
enough hours in a day.

• Even as we speak, 2,619 volunteers are helping with the Allied
Jewish Campaign, serving on the Jewish Federation's 157
committees and sitting on Federation agency boards. That's
roughly 90,000 hours per year.

•93 volunteers have worked 880 hours to launch the Michigan
Miracle Mission, which takes off this Sunday.

Steven Rosenfeld

•404 volunteers are providing 80,910 kosher Meals on Wheels
to homebound individuals this year through the National Council
of Jewish Women-Jewish Family Service program.

Steven Rosenfeld, pianist,
will perform at the Birming-
ham Temple at 7:30 p.m.
April 25. The program, titled
"Forms of Music: Concert and
Commentary," will include
music of Scarlotti, Beethoven,
Chopin and Schubert.
Mr. Rosenfeld has per-
formed extensively in the
Detroit area, including a solo
appearance with the Detroit
Symphony Orchestra. Since
1987, Mr. Rosenfeld has been
chairman of piano depart-
ment at the Center • for
Creative Studies.

• Last year, 152 volunteers spent another 20,460 hours* provid-
ing a network of caring through Jewish Family Service and
Resettlement Service.

Readers Theater
Spring Program

• Add to that the thousands of hours given by volunteers of all
ages to other service agencies, to synagogues and organiza-
tions throughout the community.

Readers Theater , will con-
tinue its spring program with
"Rabbis:. Mentshn and
Meshugoyim" 3:30 p.m. April
18 at the Maple-Drake JCC.
Stories by Eileen ,Pollack and
Philip Graubart as well as a
Jewish folktale will be read
by Shirley Benyas. David Fox,
Paul Winter and Miriam
Yezbick.
It will be preceded by
coimplimentary refreshments
at 3 p.m. For ticket informa-
tion, call 661-1000.

SZ Shows
`Delancey'

The Cultural Commission of
Congregation Shaarey Zedek
will present the film Crossing
Delancey 7 p.m. April 27 at
the synagogue. This comedy
is about a New York City
woman whose Jewish grand-
mother arranges for her to
meet an eligible bachelor
through a marriage broker.
There is no charge. Refresh-
ments will be served.

•54 Jewish Vocational Service volunteers performed 1,789
hours of service wherever they were needed.

•15 Jewish Information Service telephone volunteers found the
answers to 4,226 questions and referred many of them for
financial and counseling assistance.
