duct the Shabbat morning
service April 10.
Students in 6th-12th grades
will participate with the
clergy in leading the service.

Yom Hashoah, Holocaust Re-
membrance Day, will be ob-
served with a special service
9:05 a.m. April 18 at Temple
Emanu-El.
Contributors to Temple
Emanu-El's Holocaust book,
. . . And So We Must Remem-
ber; will participate in a
"Reader's Theater" during
the service reading selections
from the book.
The Young Family Shabbat
Committee of Temple Emanu-
El will hold its next monthly
Shabbat service April 24.
Children ages 7 and under
are encouraged to bring their
parents, siblings, grandpar-
ents, and other family mem-
bers to a service designed
especially for them. Partici-
pants will celebrate Yom
Ha'atzmaut, Israel Indepen-
dence Day.

Space Hosts
Support Groups

Space for Changing Families,
a non-sectarian community
service of National Council of
Jewish Women, Greater De-
troit Section, will offer a
Divorce Support Group 7:15-
9:30 p.m. Monday nights, May
3, 10, 17 and 24. Pre-
registration is required. A
donation is suggested.
A drop-in divorce support_
discussion group will meet
7:15-9:30 p.m. Thursday
nights, May 6, 13, 20 and 27.
No registration is required. A
donation is suggested.
Space will feature Louis
Katz speaking on choosing a
partner, why we pick the peo-
ple we do, May 16. Coffee and

bagels will be served from
9:45-10 a.m.; the program will <
start at 10 a.m. and end at
11:30 a.m. There is a sug-

Rainbows for All Children
will meet Wednesday nights
6:30-7:30 p.m. April 14, 21,
28, May 9, 12, 19, 26 and
June 2 and 9. The group is for
children ages 5 to 15 who <
have suffered a loss in their
lives. A parent education
group meeting takes place at
the same time. There is a fee
which includes all materials
and the parent education
group. The group meets at the
Space office.

Hollywood Women
Is Series Topic

Images of Jewish women in

Hollywood movies will be
the subject of a special
three-part Thursday after-
noon study series at Temple
Shir Shalom 1:30 - 3:30 p.m.
April 15, 22 and 29 co-spon-
sored by the Temple and
Midrasha College of Jewish
Studies.
The series, taught by
Professor Barry Gross of
Michigan State University,
will examine the various
ways in which Jewish
women have been portrayed
in Hollywood films, from the
silent era and early talkies <
up to the films of the
moment. Clips from movies
will be shown and discussed.
There is a charge.
Coffee and dessert will be
served. Advance registration

Temple
Book Review

The Humanist Forum of the
Birmingham Temple will pre-
sent Audrey Kron, medical
psychotherapist, who will
discuss her book Ask Audrey
8:30 p.m. April 26 at the tem-
ple. She will deal with the life
issue of chronic illness.
A discussion will follow.
There is a charge.
