The Eugene and Marcia Ap-
plebaum Jewish Parenting
Center will be featured in the
WTVS Channel 56 produc-
tion "Michigan's Future:
Crossing to the New Econ-
omy," 8 p.m. April 12 on
Channel 56.
Narrated by WXYZ Chan-
nel 7 newscaster Bill Bonds,
the program looks at
Michigan once again becom-
ing a world leader in quality
goods and services. The pro-
gram examines the impact
and effect of the school, the
home and the community on
business and industry. One of
the classes conducted by Dr.
Gary Faber and Sandra Faber
at the Parenting Center will
be highlighted. This class,
"Beyond The Outer Limits,"
focuses on the challenge of
raising teen-agers in today's
society.
There will be a follow-up
program at 8:30 p.m. Detroit
Free Press publisher Neal
Shine will host a half-hour
roundtable discussion with
leaders from business, com-
munity education and in-
dustry. The program will be
repeated at 1 a.m. on Chan-
nel 56.

Auction Event
At Emanu-EI

Temple Emanu-El will auc-
tion a new Pontiac Grand Am
SE 7:30 p.m. at the April 24
auction. The event will in-
clude a silent auction, a live
auction, door prizes and
refreshments. Auction items
also include celebrity signed
sports items, dinners at many
local restaurants, jewelry,
vacation packages and art-
work. Tickets are available in
advance.

Music Recital
At Maple-Drake

The music department of the
Jewish Community Center
will present the students of
pianist Marina Zarkhin and
violinist Gabriel Bolkosky in
a spring recital 3 p.m. May 2
at the Maple-Drake J.C.C.
In addition to the perform-
ances of the students, Ms.
Zarkhin and Mr. Bolkosky,
will participate in the last
portion of the recital.
There is no charge.

Moses, their leader.
