ichigan State Tem-
ple Youth delegates
in March adopted a
number of resolu-
)tions for the Reform Jewish
youth organization.
A new committee, called
FreshCo, was established to
get freshmen more involved
with MSTY.
Ben Flaster, from Greater
Lansing Temple Youth, pro-
posed a resolution — easily
passed — which involved
MSTY reducing, reusing, re-
cycling and becoming en-
1 vironmentally conscious. A
resolution regarding the
\ Mitzvah Corps, which is a Na-
I tional Federation of Temple
Youth project involving disad-
vantaged or disabled chil-
dren, also passed easily. It
requires each temple youth
group to raise money for the
\ Mitzvah Corps, and requires
2 MSTY to hold at least one
Mitzvah Corps function
yearly.
One resolution which did
not pass called on each tem-
.
/ ple to create a junior (middle
school-aged) group.
The meeting at Temple Kol
Ami concluded with in-
/' dividual reports, a MSTY
song session, Havdalah ser-
vice and bowling. Saturday
night's activities were fol-
lowed by a shul-in. ❑
