A symposium on anti-
Semitism entitled, "The
Rising Tide of Anti-
Semitism: Deja Vu?" was a
focal point of the confer-
ence. A prestigious panel
of international experts
addressed the many
facets of the threatening
upsurge of anti-Semitism
impacting on the global
Jewish community.

"Israel's Economic
Independence: Tangible
Goal or Impossible
Dream?" was the subject
of a colloquium at which
American, British and
Israeli businessmen ex-
plored the important
challenge of stabilizing
Israel's economy through
private enterprise and
stimulation of foreign
investment in Israel.

Delegates were treat-
ed to tea at the House of
Lords, an evening at the
theater and visited Oxford
University. They also visited
the Oxford Center for
Postgraduate Hebrew
Studies, home of Bar-Man's
