Temple Israel
Support Groups
Temple Israel is offering
members of the Jewish com-
munity who are physically
challenged an eight-week
support group. This group
will offer participants the op-
portunity to socialize and
meet one another, as well as
to discuss issues of impor-
tance to them. Each week, the
group will focus on a different
concern, such as travel for the
disabled, energy conservation
and work simplification, the
Americans with Disability
Act, relationships, exercise
and nutrition, loss and grief.
The group will be facili-
tated by psychologist Joy
Sherman and Anita Haenick,
a counselor and physical
therapist.

Temple Israel is starting a
nine-week Bereavement Sup-
port Group for people who
have experienced the loss of a
loved one. Participants will
work with a trained facilita-
tor to discuss issues of loss
and grief, anger and sorrow,
and starting over again.
