Family Mission
Meeting Set

Families interested in
visiting Israel in a communi-
ty setting can hear about the
Aug. 2-12 national United
Jewish Appeal Family Mis-
sion to Israel at a gathering
7:30 p.m. March 29 at the
Max M. Fisher Building.
National chairmen Michael
and Marcy Feldman will
discuss the trip, which offers
a complete program for
families with children age 7
and older an opportunity to
learn about their Jewish
heritage together.
Mission-goers will visit
with Israeli children at a
Youth Aliyah village and
meet immigrants from the
former Soviet Union and
Ethiopia in absorption
centers, where they are lear-
ning Hebrew and receiving
job retraining.
Adults will meet with of-
ficials on security in Israel
and the prospects for peace.
Youth programs will be of-
fered, and a counselor will
supervise separate activities
for children, who may adopt
Israeli pen pals this summer
and meet with their new
friends during the trip.
Parents also will have time
to spend on their own and
with their children.
Based on Jerusalem, the
mission accommodations will
be in five-star hotels, and
travel will be on air-
conditioned buses.
For information, call Leon-
ard Milstone, 642-4260; or
Michael or Marcy Feldman,
569-3775.
