MIC - See You Soon, KEY - Why?
Because You've Finally Got Kosher
H
i boys and girls!
Remember all those
times you went to
Disneyland and you had a
really swell vacation
except for the food?
Wasn't it great running
your fingers up and down
your kid sister's spine in
the middle of the Haunted
House tour, and she start-
ed screaming her head off
in holy terror and your
parents told you if you
didn't cut it out you were
going to stay
home the next
day ALL BY
YOURSELF in
the hotel
room?
And
how
about when
you checked
out Epcot's
"World of
Motion" exhibit and you
called it "The World of
Motion Sickness" and pre-
tended to vomit all over
visitors and the guide told
your parents you were the
most obnoxious brat on the
face of the planet?
Ah. The good old days.
But then it came time to
eat. And there was noth-
ing kosher in sight.
At long last! Kosher food
) is here.
Disneyland in California
is now making kosher
meals available at two
restaurants — the Plaza
Inn, the largest eatery on
Main Street, and the Blue
Bayou, the most elegant
dining spot — within the
theme park grounds.
The meals come pre-
packaged and are pre-
pared under the supervi-
sion of the Orthodox
Union. Dishes include
Oriental chicken, Salis-
bury steak, linguini and
vegetarian.
The project
is the brain-
child of Dis-
neyland's new
executive
chef, Alfred
Ball, a native
of Switzer-
land who has
developed a
number of
special menus for the hip
vacation spot.
Each dinner costs
$15.50, and guests are
asked to order meals 24
hours in advance. Those
wishing to eat at the Plaza
Inn should call the restau-
rant at (714) 999-4521; the
number for the Blue
Bayou is (714) 999-4547.
Ask to speak with the
supervisor.
See you soon, boys and
girls!

Let's All Wine
This Pesach
nce again Aunt
Hilda and Uncle
Harry in Milwaukee
have invited you to their
seder, and once again
you're doing everything
you can to get out of it. It's
not that you have anything
against Aunt Hilda and
Uncle Harry, but how
many Pesachs in a row can
you eat Aunt Hilda's over-
cooked chicken and lumpy
mashed potatoes?
Thinking up the excuse
for not being there is your
problem. But here's some-
thing to help make your
absence a little more gra-
cious: send a gift.
800 Spirits, Inc., an
international gift delivery
service, will deliver kosher
wine anywhere in the
United States or Israel.
The bottle will come ele-
gantly wrapped, and may

I
f the name of cult
leader David Koresh,
making news in Waco
this month, sounds
vaguely familiar, it's
because it's Hebrew.
The head of the Branch
Davidian sect — original-
ly Vernon Wayne Howell
— chose the name as a
reflection of his religious
philosophy.
Mr. Koresh sees him-
self as the Messiah.
According to Jewish tra-
dition (taken up by
Christianity), the Messi-
ah will be a descendent of
King David, hence the
first name.
"Koresh" is the Hebrew
form of Cyrus, king of
Persia (559-29 BCE). As
conqueror of Babylonia,
he permitted the exiled
Jews to return to the
Land of Israel and
rebuild the Temple in
Jerusalem.
As part of his mission,
David Koresh has vowed
to build a "New
Jerusalem."
Where Is Hitler's Skull?
p
ans (JTA) — French
coroners reportedly
have proved that a
corpse Soviet authorities
said in 1945 was that of
Adolf Hitler is in fact that
of someone else.
The four forensic spe-
cialists, who wrote up
their finding in the journal
Semaine en Hopitaux
(Hospital Week), base
their theory on
examination of
documents pre-
pared by the
Soviet army coro-
ners who per-
formed the autop-
sy on the body on
May 8, 1945.
The doctors, who work
at the Lille Institute for
Social and Legal Medicine,
write that the real body of
Hitler was in fact discov-
ered by the Soviets "in the
end of May 1945." It was
"shown in a wood near
Berlin to Mengershausen,
the last German soldier to
have seen it in the garden
of the (Berlin) Chancery.
Mengershausen, in spite of
the body's advanced state
of decay, identified the
corpse as that of Hitler."
The skull of that body
had a hole in the right
temple, in keeping with
the belief that Hitler shot
himself in the head.
Hitler left a will, dated
April 29, 1945, saying that
his and his bride Eva
Braun's wish was to "die
and be cremated right
away." The next day at
3:30 p.m., Hitler and
Braun allegedly committed
suicide in his bunker
below the chancery. Their
bodies were said to have
been sprayed with gasoline
and burned, and
the charred rem-
nants reportedly
were buried in a
nearby excava-
tion.
A few days
later, the Soviet
army exhumed
corpses from the garden of
the Berlin Chancery. The
most charred body was
assumed to be Hitler's.
Soviet army Col. Dr.
Faust Shkarawsky per-
formed an autopsy on the
corpse, together with three
other Soviet forensic spe-
cialists. Their report,
signed May 11, 1945,
clearly depicts a "mock
autopsy" performed on
orders, the French coro-
ners write.
This was done, the
French doctors say, to
assuage Josef Stalin, who
was demanding to see
Hitler's corpse at once.
