Improvement" will feature
Steve Thomas, host of PBS'
"This Old House" at the
annual Home Sweet Home
show 10 a.m.-4 p.m. March
14 at the Southfield Civic
Center Pavilion,
Cynthia Fellman, a land-
scape architect at Frank's
Nursery and Crafts, and
David Mark Weiss, an inte-
rior designer, will share
their expertise at the home
improvement fair, spon-
'sored by the Neighborhood
Project of the Jewish Fed-
eration.
Nearly 50 contractors will
exhibit and demonstrate the
latest home improvement
techniques and will be
joined by bank loan repre-
sentatives and municipal
zoning officials for consulta-
tion.
Habitat for Humanity,
which rebuilds homes in
low-income neighborhoods,
will be selling Mr. Thomas'
book This Old House Baths.

Lecture Set On
Commandments
i Rabbi Jack Goldman,
administrator of the
Metropolitan Kashrut
Council of Michigan and
professor of English,
humanities and public
speaking at Macomb
Community College, will
be the speaker at the
monthly lunch and learn
noon March 18 at the
United Hebrew Schools
Building. His topic will be
"The Ten Commandments:
Differences in Jewish and
Christian Beliefs." The
lecture follows lunch from
12:30-1:30 p.m.
Subsequent speakers in
the series will be Rabbi
Amy Bigman of Temple
Emanu-El speaking on "A
Jewish Understanding of
the Second Testament"
April 22; Rabbi Arnold
Sleutelberg of Congrega-
tion Shir Tikvah speaking
on "Passover's Relevance
to Oppressed People" May
