Library will present a series
of programs in anticipation of
the Michigan Opera Theatre's
spring schedule. The pro-
grams will take place on
March 9, 23 and 30 at 1 p.m.
in the Marcotte Room.
The series will consist of the
following: March 9 — Ballet
Movie, Sleeping Beauty;
March 16 — A lecture on
Aida presented by Dr.
Wallace Peace; March 30 —
An opera movie, Aida, starr-
ing Placido Domingo, will be
shown.
All programs are free and
registration is not required.

The Lyric Chamber Ensem-
ble will celebrate the 94th
birthday of Mischa Kottler
3:30 p.m. March 7 at Or-
chestra Hall. Mr. Kottler will
appear as special guest artist
on the program, which also
includes pianists Flavio
Varani, Louis Nagel, Fedora
Horowitz, Joseph Gurt, along
with guest artists Michael
Gurt and Andrew Cooper-
stock.
