Shalach Manot: In his instructions to the Jews, Mordechai told them to make Purim
"days ... of sending portions one to another and gifts to the poor." In that spirit we
send parcels with at least two kinds of treats to our friends. A great way for you,
your family, chavurah group, or class to get into the spirit of Purim and make others
happy too.

Here's what to do: Decorate many pretty plates. Include some fruit (dried or
fresh), nuts, wrapped KOSHER candy, or small packages of Elite wafers or chocolates.
At least two kinds of food should be included (no home-baked goods, please). Put
each plate into a heavy-duty zip-lock bag.
