The B'nai B'rith Foundation
has named William LaKritz
B'nai B'rith dinner chairman
for the 1993 Great American
Traditions Award Dinner.
Proceeds from this annual
event support B'nai B'rith's
youth serving agencies and
programs: the B'nai B'rith
Youth Organization and cam-
pus Hillel foundations.
Mr. LaKritz is a partner in
LaKritz-Weber & Co., a com-
mercial real estate brokerage
company. He is committed to
numerous community activi-
ties, including: Jewish Fed-
eration of Metropolitan
Detroit, Temple Israel board
of trustees, Goodfellows, job
placement for Soviet im-
migrants, and the LaKritz
family Thanksgiving dinner
with the Salvation Army.
He has been a B'nai B'rith
member for 23 years and an
active member of the B'nai
B'rith dinner committee for
the past seven years.

lead the second lecture in the
winter semester Judaicollege
series on "Keeping Kosher
and Self Control:'
Refreshments will be serv-

Rabbi Jacobovitz will lead a
lunchtime mini-conference at
the law offices of Swanson,
Torgow, and Lyons, 511 East
Lamed, Detroit, noon Feb. 16.
The topic will be "Environ-
mentalism and Judaism."
The program will allow for
a 1/2 hour deli lunch followed
by a 40-minute discussion.
