Cele Landay

HONORED VOLUNTEER

The Detroit Institute of Arts
recently honored Cele
Landay of Farmington
Hills with its volunteer of
the month award. Ms. Lan-
day has served as a DIA vol-
unteer for 13 years, follow-
ing a successful career as an
interior designer. She is cur-
rently on the museum shop
committee, working at the
museum stores downtown
and a _ t the Somerset Collec-
tion. In the past, she has
served on several DIA com-
mittees.
Ms. Landay is also on the
board of the Archives of
American Art. She created a
national reputation as co-
chair of the mailbox fund-
raiser. The February issue of
American Craft notes the
success of the event and
mentions Ms. Landay.
Cele Landay is married to
Martin Landay, CEO of
Globe Trading Co. in
Detroit. They have four chil-
dren. ❑
