T

he Detroit Symphony

Orchestra Hall Vol-
unteer Council pre-
sented a celebrity lun-
cheon on Jan. 28 at the
Grand Manor in Fairlaine
with guest speaker Ivana
Trump. More than 1,000
patrons attended the event.
Ms. Trump looked glam-
orous in her peach dress. She
spoke on 'Women Who Dare"
and the evolving role of
women. She said the
challenge of the '90s is juggl-
ing the roles of wife, mother,
executive and woman. She
added that women should
take risks and believe in
themselves. She ended her
speech with this quote,
"Women are like tea bags.
When you put them in boil-
ing water, they become
stronger."
President Marjorie
Saulson and Chairman
Barbra Bloch helped plan
the event. Some of the
DSOH supporters included:
Harriet Rotter, Jeanette
Miller, Shelley Golden,
Susan Winton-Feinberg,
Brenda Rosenberg, Har-
riet Fuller, Helen Lerner,
Karen Katz, Pamela
David, Roberta Ingber,
Debbie Sklar and Joanne
Sklar.
