SUNDAY WAS

P ER

Hundreds turned out to call their friends, neighbors and community
members at the Allied Jewish Campaign's 'Super Weeks.'

n Jan. 24 — exactly one
week before football
diehards glued their eyes
to the Super Sunday bat-
tle between the Bills and
Cowboys — the Allied Jewish
Campaign sponsored an even
"Super-er" event.
A fun-raising, fund-raising
crowd of more than 300 volun-
teers congregated at the
Campaign's annual phonathon,.
appropriately called Super
Sunday.
The one-day calling blitz, held
at the Max M. Fisher Building,
involved senior citizens and
young people — and individuals
of practically every age in
between.
Giving new meaning to lingo
like "high score," Super Sunday
raised more than one million
dollars for the first time in the
history of the Metropolitan
Detroit Campaign. ID
