.17 SFIC)IPP EIR OUR RETAIL ROUNDUP MEMBERS OF THE WEDDING Fashion designers Achariya and Vatana Wafters, of Walters & Wat- ters in Dallas, Texas, design bridesmaid dresses that women want to wear a second time. The company describes its line as "Purist designs that reflect simple elegance and timeless beauty." They design traditional gowns and two-piece styles. The retail prices range from $215 to $340 and come in a variety of colors. "The dresses look more expen- sive than they are," says Anne Frank, buyer at Roz & Sherm. Ms. Frank notes that Roz & Sherm now carries bridesmaid dresses to accompany their moth- er-of-the-bride gowns. Although this dress is shown along the ocean, it is affordable and just as chic in the wedding party. Available at Roz & Sherm in Bloomfield Hills LET THEM EAT CAKE! Chocolate raspberry mousse with white shaved chocolate frosting makes an excellent wedding cake, according to pastry chef Robert Fetch of Sweet Endings in Royal Oak. With 13 years of experience, Mr. Fetch believes the secret to tasty and beautiful wedding cakes is the quality ingredients. "We use the best chocolate available, and we never use canned preserves," he says. For the best flavor, he alternates the tiers with different fillings; and he uses fresh flowers for decorations. The cake in the photo is enhanced with tri- angle of roses, champagne glasses and orchids for festive occasions. Available at Sweet Endings in Royal Oak. 6 •JANUARY/FEBRUARY 1993 • STYLE GLORIOUS GLASS A glass bowl or vase is the perfect wedding or shower gift, especially when the quality is high and the price is low.
