ing summer programs,
support, advocacy, and
other services for children
with special needs will be
represented at an open
house 6-9 p.m. Feb. 10 at
the Beaumont Rehabilita-
tion and Health Center,
746 Purdy Street, Bir-
mingham.
Representatives from
each organization will pro-
vide information and liter-
ature on summer camps,
recreational activities,
adaptive equipment and
support groups.
The program is co-spon-
sored by Rehabilitation
Services at Beaumont and
Project REACH of Oak-
land Schools, a program
which identifies young
children at risk for devel-
opmental problems.
The program is free of
charge to anyone on the
KESHET mailing list; oth-
erwise, there is an admis-
sion charge.

V GIVE '10 THE TORCH DRIVE

The Young Adult Division
of the Jewish Federation
of Metropolitan Detroit
will host Joyce Miller, who
broke the Operation Solo-
mon story for National
Public Radio, at a gather-
ing on behalf of the Allied
Jewish Campaign, 7 p.m.
Feb. 2 at a dinner at the
Old Woodward Grill in
downtown Birmingham.
The gathering is for con-
tributors of $100 or more
to the 1993 Campaign.
A field staff member of
the American Association
for Ethiopian Jews, Ms.
Miller was one of the few
Americans to witness and
participate in the odyssey
of the exodus of Ethiopia's
Jews. She joined with
hundreds of them on one
of the last C-130 Hercules
military transports out of
Addis Ababa in May 1991.
Hors d'oeuvres will be
served and a cash bar will
be available. There is a
charge for the evening.
