seniors from around the
world who are exception-
ally gifted in science. The
students use state-of-the-
art equipment at the In-
stitute, attend lectures by
its scientists, and conduct
field study in the Negev.
Dates are early July to
early August for this 5
week program. For infor-
mation on the Institute

Young Judaea (spon-
sored by Hadassah)
Israel Discovery is a 43-
day program for 15-17-
year-olds. They sightsee
throughout Israel, meet
with Israeli Scouts, are
hosted by a moshav fami-
ly for a Shabbat, and
meet with newly arrived
immigrants. Students can
also choose a week work-
ing on an archaeological
dig, working on a kibbutz,
hiking the countryside,
volunteering on an army
base, studying the sea, or
developing their tennis
skills. The trip is sched-
uled for June 28 to
August 10.
Machon-In-Israel is
for 11th graders, who
spend 47 days traveling
and developing leadership
skills. Previous member-
ship in Young Judaea and
Tel Yehuda camp experi-
ence are required. Dates
are July 5 to August 16.

COLLEGE AGE AND COLLEGE
GRADUATE PROGRAMS
American Zionist Youth
Foundation (AZYF)
Adventure on a Kibbutz
spends 2 1/2 weeks on a
kibbutz and three weeks
of touring for those who
have completed at least
one year of college. Dates
are June 16 to July 25.
Graduate to Israel is
four weeks of touring
with other recent college
graduates (up to 26 years
of age). Dates are June 9
to July 7 or July 15 to
August 12.
Short on Time is an
intensive, three-week
introduction to Israel for
students ages 18 to 26
who have completed at
least one year of college.
Dates are June 9 to June
20 or August 1 to August
22.

Taste of Israel is for
students ages 18 to 22
who have completed at
least one year of college.
For 4 1/2 weeks, there is
touring, seminars, a stay
at a nature study center,
and five days in a kibbutz
guest house. Dates are
July 7 to August 6.
Focus on israel (Lead-
ership Training Seminar)
is three weeks of meet-
ings with government
officials and Middle
Eastern experts for cam-
pus leaders. Dates are
mid-June to July.

Betar/Tagar (1-212-650-

Tagar Israel Experience
allows college students to
spend three weeks on a
special volunteer' project,
then 2 weeks touring
Israel. June 14 to July 16
are the dates.
Tagar Israel Mission
for College Activists is a
specialized program for
students active in Jewish
and Israeli affairs on
campus. There are three
weeks of volunteering and
two weeks of special
tours, seminars, and
events. Dates are June 14
to July 16.

Operation Redemp-
tion gives students the
opportunity to build hous-
ing for new Soviet immi-
grants. The six week tour
runs June 12 to July 29.
Explore Israel '93 (spon-
sored by USY)
Explore Israel offers
two options for students
age 18 and up: a month in
Jerusalem touring and
learning about Israeli
society and/or a month in
the Galilee living on
Kibbutz Hanaton while
participating in an
archaeological dig.
College credits are avail-
able. Jerusalem program
is scheduled for May 24 to
June 18; Galilee program
is scheduled for June 20
to July 23. For informa-

Polytechnic University
High-Technology
Seminar and Field Trip is
for undergrads, recent
grads and grad students.
This 10-day trip includes
