Masada Adventure
Program is also for 16-
18-year-olds, who tour
Israel by jeep, camp out,
rappel down mountains,
and more. For 5 1/2
weeks, from July 4 to
August 10; cost is $3,995.
Masada Kibbutz Pro-
gram is another program
for 16-18-year-olds. It
combines two weeks of
kibbutz life with 3 1/2
weeks of touring, from
July 4 to August 10. Cost
is $3,595.
Masada Community
Program is an opportuni-
ty for communities to
form their own Masada
group for 5 1/2 weeks,
from June 27 to August 3.
Maccabi Institute for
Water Sports has 10 days
of scuba diving and
instruction in the Red Sea
and four weeks of touring
for 15-18-year-olds. Dates
are June 27 to August 3;
cost is $3,995.
Masada Teen-age Tour
is an introductory 5 1/2
week tour of Israel for 14-
18-year-olds who will be
divided into suitable age
groups. The trip is sched-
uled for July 4-August 10
for $3,795.
Masada/Shoreshim-
Poland/Israel Program
is for 16-18-year-olds,
who spend five days in
Poland, then tour Israel
for 30 days. The trip is
scheduled from July 7 to
August 13; cost is $5,250.
Maccabi Institute for
Sport Training is for 14-
18-year-olds who want to
improve their tennis, bas-
ketball, or soccer skills.
Also included are hiking
and touring throughout
the country. Scheduled
dates are June 27 to
August 3; cost is $3,795.

Nesiya Institute
Summer Program
Nesiya in Hebrew
means "journey." Two
programs are sponsored
this summer: a five-week
program combining tour-
ing with a variety of
hands-on experiences of
Jewish life and Israeli
issues, and a seven-week
program which combines
study of Jewish texts with
arts workshops in the-
ater, creative writing,
visual arts, dance, and
photography.

The programs are
strictly kosher and no
group activities are
planned for Shabbat, but
personal religious obser-
vances are optional.
Nesiya's programs are
geared for high school
students and graduating
seniors. They are sched-
uled for June 29 to
August 17 and June 21 to
July 21. For information
on Nisaya programs, call

North American Feder-
ation of Temple Youth
(NFTY)
NFTY Israel Safari is
for 15-18-year-olds. De-
signed for teens form
Reform congregations
across North America, the
5 1/2 week trip includes
touring Israel, visits to
nature centers, a kibbutz
experience, camping in
the desert, and meetings
with Israeli teens. A high-
light of the program is the
March to Jerusalem and
the climbing of Masada at
dawn. Dates are late June
to mid-July.
NFTY High School in
Israel — Summer Heb-
rew Ulpan is designed
for 15-18-year-old stu-
dents who want to
immerse themselves in
the Hebrew language and
Israeli life. Based in
Jerusalem, the seven-
week trip is scheduled for
late June to August.

Ramah Programs
in Israel
Ramah Seminar in
Israel is for students
entering the 12th grade.
The six-week trip com-
bines sightseeing, hiking,
and educational opportu-
nities. Dates are July 7 to
August 16.
Ramah Seminar Plus
is two weeks longer than
the program listed above.
It adds meetings with
Israeli youth and the
Israel Defense Forces,
exploring the Negev, and
studying Hebrew. Dates
are June 22 to August 16,
