tion B'nai Moshe will
celebrate Women's League
75th Anniversary Shabbat
Jan. 23 during Shabbat ser-
vices and at a lunch and
learn.
Participating during the
services will be: Ann
Wanetik, Marsha Brand,

Sonia Smith, Rosalie Migdal,

The Haftorah will be chanted

Chabad Plans
Lecture, Classes

Rabbi Elimelech Silberberg
of Bais Chabad Torah Cen-
ter will deliver a lecture 8:15
p.m. Jan. 11 at the Torah
Center on "The Mystique of
the Jewish Name."
The Torah Center is offer-
ing two new courses on Tal-
mud and Jewish mysticism
which will take place Sun-
days at 9:45 a.m. and 11 a.m.
respectively. The Steinsaltz
Talmud is used during the
first class; the text for the
second class is Tanya. All of
these classes are part of the
Project Talmud Study Pro-
gram.

New Americans
Social Planned

Machon L'Torah will hold an
educational program for new
Americans 2:30 p.m. Jan. 17
at the Learning Center. The
program will include an ice
cream social followed by a
lecture on the topic of "The
Seven Layers of Judaism."

Rabbi Avraham Jacobovitz
and will be translated by Ro-
man Lundin. There is no
