Volunteers for
Blood Pressure/Diabetes Study

Beaumont's Preventive and Nutritional Medicine Clinic is looking for volunteers
who have both high blood pressure and adult-onset diabetes—to participate in a
research study with an approved drug that lowers blood pressure.

In order to qualify you must, therefore, have both adult-onset diabetes and high
blood pressure, be at least 30 years of age, and be willing to visit our clinic on 12
occasions over a 4 month period of time.

If you wish to participate in this study you will have a complete physical exam, elec-
trocardiogram, echocardiogram to measure heart function, and routine laboratory
testing. You will then receive medication for a period of 16 months. All medications,
laboratory tests, EKGs, echocardiograms, and examinations are free.
