City apartment. The mar-
riage made news across

news again, when Ms.
Chung announced she was
going to cut back her work
schedule to try and have a
baby. "We are not discour-
aged, and we are still try-
ing," he revealed.
Mr. Povich is content,
and labels his lifestyle as
traditional.
"Many people think that
Connie and I lead a glitzy
life, but we don't," said
Mr. Povich, who lives in
New York City. "We don't
go to star-studded balls
and evenings out. We are
just like everybody else.
She picks up my socks
because I am sloppy, and I
usually have to wait for
her, because she is often
late."
Although religion is not
a part of Mr. Povich's
everyday life, he feels very
Jewish. "I don't go to shul
every Friday night or
dwell on my religion, but
in terms of my own brain-
waves, I rely on it exten-
sively," he said. He never
works on the High
Holidays and I use my
religion in terms of my
moral justification of
events.
"Connie is as Jewish as
me in many ways," he
said. "She never really
had any formal religious
training or connection,
and although she has not
converted to Judaism, she
knows as much Yiddish as
I do!"
In the future, Mr.
Povich "would like to do
some programming with
Connie. I guess I would
also like to relax, play a
lot of golf, and just hold
my wife's hand." 0

Adat Shalom
Film Series

Adat Shalom Synagogue will
launch its 11th annual film
series, "Leave 'Em Laugh-
ing," 7 p.m. Jan. 10 at the

synagogue. The Great Dic-
tator will be shown.

The films will be introduc-
ed by film critic and professor
of film Dan Greenberg.
To Be Or Not To Be is set for
7 p.m. Jan. 17.
The final film, The Pro-
ducers, will be shown 7 p.m.,
Jan. 24. Zero Mostel and
Gene Wilder star. There is no
charge.
