Prejudice Is Luncheon Topic "School Ties: Prejudice in the Classroom — Are Our Children Part of the Problem or Part of the Solution?" will be the topic of the next Food for Thought luncheon spon- sored by the Jewish Federa- tion Women's Division 11:30 a.m. Jan. 14 at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Southfield. The gathering will feature Brian J. Kott, who chairs the Jewish Community Council Youth Committee and is a member of the Quarton School Diversity Committee, and Beverly H. Stone, assis- tant superintendent of in- struction in the Rochester Hills Community Schools. Mr. Kott serves on the Council's church-state and schools committee, which is assessing allegations of anti- Semitism at Andover High School. He also is a vice- president of the American Jewish Committee. Ms. Stone taught in the Oak Park schools and has served in several admini- strative roles in the Bloom- field Hills and Rochester school districts. Food for Thought is a forum to educate the participants on important Jewish issues and to reach out to women not yet involved in Women's Division. There will be no solicitation of gifts.
