Los Angeles artist Ali Golkar
has a one-man show of his
acrylic paintings at . the
Danielle Peleg Gallery
through Dec. 27.
The 44-year old artist was
born in Isfahan, Iran. After
earning a degree in art and
architecture in Iran, he came
to the United States in 1975.
Mr. Golkar's musical in-
struments often interact with
graceful figures and are sym-
bolic of his paintings. His col-
ors are bold yet he manages
to blend deep red, blues,
purples and yellows har-
moniously. His recent pain-
tings are reflections of his
other passion, poetry.

is in the Crosswinds Mall,

Class Set For
Sign Language

The Sign Language Class for
beginners will hold classes
starting Jan. 5 at the Maple-
Drake Jewish Community
Center.
For five Tuesdays, the
class will meet 4:30-5:30 p.m.
to introduce the American
Sign Language to adults and
school age children. There is
a fee plus class material. For
