Temple Israel
Chanukah Events

Temple Israel will hold an Af-
filiate Chanukah Party 12:30
p.m. Dec. 13 at the temple.
The affiliate groups are com-
prised of the temple's
Brotherhood, Couples Club,
Sisterhood, Temple Treasures
and Youth Group.
Ron Coden, Detroit area
folk singer from the "Hot
Fudge" TV show, will per-
form. The party will feature
latkes, lunch and entertain-
ment geared to the entire
family.
There is a charge. For reser-
vations and information, call
Ida and Mark Nemzin,
661-4112; or Cheryl and Marc
Bocknek, 626-5645.
Temple Israel will hold a
Family Chanukah Shabbat
dinner 6:15 p.m. Dec. 18 at
the temple. The dinner and
Shabbat service will
highlight the foods and
rituals of the holiday. There
will be special treats for the
children.

Shul-In, Party

The Beth Achim Shul-In and
Chanukah Party will be 2
p.m. Dec. 24 at the synagogue.
Activities will include cook-
ing homemade applesauce
and baking Chanukah cook-
ies, constructing a menorah
and wooden dreidel, Israeli
dancing, Chanukah songs,
board game tournaments,
movies and an assortment of
crafts and refreshments.
Rabbi Martin Berman will
lead families in lighting their
Chanukah menorahs at 6
p.m. followed by a latke and
deli dinner. Entertainment
will follow.
There is a charge for the
dinner. For reservations by
Dec. 20, call the synagogue,
352-8670.

and Chanukah Party is co-
sponsored by Jewish Ex-
periences For Families.

Chanukah Party
At B'nai David

B'nai David Sisterhood, in
conjunction with the Men's
Club and the Young Leader-
ship Group, will hold an an-
nual Chanukah party 3 p.m.
Dec. 20 at the synagogue.
There will be latkes, holiday
treats and entertainment.

there is a charge.

bit brighter for a needy child. Bring a
new, unwrapped toy to the Center Court
of the Orchard Mall on Thursday
morning, December 17, from 6:00 A.M.
to 10:00 A.M. for the Annual Toys For
Tots Campaign, sponsored by WNIC &
the U.S. Marine Corps.
