for B'nai B'rith men's basket-
ball will be held 6 p.m. Dec. 7
at the B'nai B'rith offices,
25835 Southfield Rd.,
Southfield. The Sunday mor-
ning league will start play
Jan. 17. Players must belong
to B'nai B'rith to be eligible.

Social Action
Service Set

Temple Emanu-El's Shabbat
Service Dec. 4 will be
dedicated to Social Action.
Gifts for children with
AIDS will be brought to
the temple, marking the
fifth consecutive year
members bring gifts for
more than 100 children.
A new social action pro-
gram will be introduced
with a skit depicting the
plight of residents of Valle
Nueva in El Salvador who
were forced to flee their
land and now have chosen
to return. The temple has
adopted Valle Nueva as
their companion communi-
ty and will help with re-
building.

Temple Israel
Chanukah Plans

Temple Israel will conduct
a workshop on the how-
to's of creating a Chanu-
kah family celebration
7:30-9:30 p.m. Dec. 8 at
the temple.
Participants will learn
about the music, ritual,
and food of the Chanukah
holiday. The workshop
will be led by clergy and
staff. For reservations and

YI Oak-Woods
Holds Concert

Young Israel of Oak
Woods will launch the
"Young Israel of Oak
Woods Neighborhood
Project" Dec. 13 with a
concert starring Yehuda,
singer, arranger, musi-
cian.

All monies raised will go
into the project fund.
