Sen. Honigman requested

sisted-suicide to help de-

recently passed bill, pend-

effect while the issue is

is expected until the 1994
legislative year.

Schwartz said.
"The issue here is free-
dom of choice to determine
one's own destiny," Mr.
Schwartz said. "Jack Ke-
vorkian should not be the
issue."
Dr. Kevorkian's actions
have thrust Mr. Fieger to
center stage. But he is out
of the country, leaving pub-
lic relations duties to his
partner, Mr. Schwartz, an
attorney who is not new to
controversy.
