Waterstone

Meyer Waterstone, 94, of
Oak Park, died Nov. 29. A
sales representative in the
women's apparel industry,
Mr. Waterstone was a
founder and former presi-
dent of the Women's
Apparel Club of Michigan. A
veteran of World War I, he
was a member of the 32nd
Division of the Red Arrow
Club of Michigan War
Veterans, Julius Rosenwald
Post of the American
Legion, and a past officer of
the Hannah Schloss Old-
timers. Mr. Waterstone also
was a member of the
Southfield Men's Club, a
member of Congregation
Shaarey Zedek and a mem-
ber of lodge #55 of Knights
of Pythias.
He leaves a son and
daughter-in-law, Alvin and
Beverly of Oak Park; daugh-
ters and sons-in-law, Char-
lotte and Benjamin Roth-
stein of Oak Park, Janet
and Bernard Adelson of
Tamarac, Fla.; sister, Gloria
Epstein of Southfield; seven

Henry Ziff

Henry Ziff, 83, of Grosse
Pointe Park, died Nov. 28.
He was president and owner
of Detroit Suspender and
Belt Company (known as
Apollo Company, Inc.) Mr.
Ziff was a 70-year member
of Congregation Shaarey
Zedek, a member of Down-
town Synagogue in Detroit,
Crescent Shrine, Moslem
Temple, Detroit Consistory
and a life member of Union
Lodge #3. In addition, he
was a member of Grosse
Pointe Rotary Club, mem-
ber of Grosse Pointe Park
Foundation, Grosse Pointe
War Memorial and Gross
Pointe Senior Men's Club.
He leaves his wife,
Stephanie; daughter, Louise
A. of Los Angeles, Calif.; sis-
ters and brothers-in-law,
Edith and Dr. Henry Sch-
