Temple Concert
Aids Homeless

The Thief and the Hangman,

a musical drama dedicated to

the homeless and hungry, will
be performed 7:30 p.m. Dec.
13 at Temple Israel at its
Jonathan P. Miller Memorial
Concert. This event will
honor the work of Charleszet-
ta Waddles on her 80th birth-
day for her work on behalf of
those less fortunate in the
Detroit area. It is co-
sponsored by the Greater
Detroit Chapter of Hadassah
and Botsford General
Hospital.
Featured artists in this con-
ert are Cantor Harold Or-
bach, James Berg, Davis
Gloff, John Lawrence Henkel,
Irina Lekhtman, David
Troiano, John-Paul White and
Evelyn Orbach, together with
a 30-piece orchestra, con-
ucted by Karen Nixon.
The price of admission will
be an item of warm clothing
or non-perishable food, or a
check made payable to the
Mother Waddles Perpetual
Mission, Inc. Complimentary
tickets may be obtained from

conduct three workshops in
Detroit.
The first will take place
1,. 8-11 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Jimmy
Prentis Morris Jewish Com-
munity Center. The second
will be 1:30-3:30 p.m. Dec. 6
at the Maple-Drake Jewish
Community Center.
B'nai B'rith Hillel Founda-
tion, 1429 Hill St., Ann Ar-
bor, will host the last session
8-11 p.m. Dec. 6.
The workshops are open to
folkdancers of every level.
