'> American Gourmet has
grown to such a highly
respected proportion that it
makes baskets now for the
Pistons, Lions, University of
Michigan, Blue Cross,
Hollywood movie stars, Na-
', tional Football League, Big
10, those with kosher pro-
ducts for department stores,
and so many more.
_ Sandy Benson made sure
that Marty came home on
time for Friday Sabbath .. .
and it turned into a business
bonanza that is growing so
rapidly the term "industry
I l
giant" may not be too far off
in the future.

The monumental growth of
American Gourmet in just a
year is a success story that
can be believed only in know-
ing Marty and Sandy . . . a
couple of highly appreciative,
down-to-earth people whose
- hard work has begun to pay
off in large dividends . . . and
deservedly so.

STAGE & CO. on the

Road south of Maple, has
been open Sundays for 30

Sundays . . . (Stage & Co.

10-10; Friday, 10-11; Satur-
day, 9-midnight; Sunday, 9
a.m.-10 p.m.)

CAFE CORTINA cele-
brates 16 years at its locale on
10 Mile, east of Orchard Lake
Road, with one of those
special European holiday din-
ners owners Rina and
Adriano Tonon are noted for
. . . It's a one-nighter, 7 p.m.
Dec. 2, with Pino Marelli and
Lisa Agazzi singing for at-

AT

CORRECT NEW hours at

the way so many organiza-
tions trying to raise money
for worthy causes self-
destruct with affairs on the
same date? . . . The Jewish
Community Council calendar
is a very important tool in
preventing these unfortunate
happenings.
Recent Sophie and Harry
Hoffman Chapter, City of
Hope, Night of Games was a
good example . . . The group
cleared, but two others didn't,
so all three suffered . . . along
with those innocent persons
who need the funds so
desperately.
C'mon, you guys and gals
running these affairs, wake
up . . . Stop shooting
yourselves in the foot before
the race begins!
