preparation of 50 home sites
in Beersheva for housing,

Russian and Ethiopian
immigrants.
Mezzo soprano Irina Lekht-
man, newly arrived from
Moldavia, has chosen a
medley of operatic arias, Rus-
sian, Hebrew and American
songs, and will be accom-
panied on the piano by Zina
Astrakhan, a graduate of the
Leningrad Conservatory.

A joint luncheon meeting of
Hadassah groups Sharon and
Masada will be held noon
Dec. 8 at Knob in the Woods.
Dr. Richard Krugel, chief of
the section of orthopedic
surgery at Sinai Hospital,
will speak on "The Malprac-
tice Crisis and What It Means
to the Health Care Con-
sumer." Dr. Krugel is a 1967
graduate of the University of
Michigan Medical School and
has been in private practice
for 17 years. He is on the
staffs of Sinai and Grace
Hospitals. Active in the
Jewish community, Dr.
Krugel is vice-chairman of
the Sinai Health Care Foun-
dation and on the board of
governors of the Jewish
Federation of Detroit.
