Rebekah is the conduit for God's will and God's message. It is clear from Torah text and commentaries that Rebekah's role is as important as that of Isaac. Toledot teaches us that Rebekah is a woman of vision, a leader, and a decision- maker. She understands, however, that because she has been given a pivotal role to play in facilitating God's plan, she must make difficult choices.
