Fritz Kramrisch Fritz Kramrisch, 82, former Detroiter of Mesa, Ariz., died Nov. 10. Born in Vienna, Austria, Dr. Kramrisch graduated from the Technical Universi- ty of Vienna with a civil engineering degree, and received a doctor's degree from the same university. He joined Albert Kahn in 1940, where he worked on the struc- tural design of many commer- cial, industrial, and institu- tional buildings. He was responsible for the structural design of Congregation Shaarey Zedek and the Jewish Home for Aged — Bor- man Hall. Dr. Kramrisch was a Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers as well as the American Concrete Institute, and a co-author of the Hand- book of Concrete Engineering. His society membership in- cluded Michigan Society of Professional Engineers and the Technion. He served on the board of directors of the American Concrete Insti- tute's Detroit Chapter, and the board of review for special construction for the Detroit Department of Buildings and Safety Engineering.
