Museum Sets
Two Exhibits

Two exhibitions will be
featured at Janice Charach
Epstein Museum/Gallery
Nov. 15-Dec. 10.
The main floor gallery will
feature "Selections: Larry
Rivers 1957-1990." Paintings,
drawings and prints from
many of Larry Rivers' bodies
of work have been selected as
well as Mr. Rivers' personal
collection. Mr. Rivers, who
came to fame in the late
1950s, was one of the artists
who helped usher in the Pop
Art movement in the 1960s.
The second floor gallery
will feature an exhibition of
original contemporary chil-
dren's book illustrations.
Elizabeth Stone, of the
Elizabeth Stone Gallery, is
curating The Imaginary
World: Contemporary Chil-
dren's Book Illustration," a
show featuring original
watercolors and drawings of
illustrators of children's
books. These illustrations
will be available for sale;
some illustrations will be
available for sale during
Jewish Book Fair as well.
One of the participating ar-
tists, Jane Breskin Zalben,
will provide a Book Illus-
trating Workshop and Book
Signing for children Nov. 19
from 4-6 p.m. Ms. Zalben will
work with children ages 10
and above and help them
create an illustration from a
page of one of her books. Ad-
vance registration is re-
quired. There is a fee. Call

Children's book author
Daniel Cutler, author of One
Hundred Monkeys, will pro-
vide a lecture for potential
children's book authors about
the process of getting publish-
ed. This event will be held
7:30 p.m. Dec. 1 in the
Museum/Gallery. Admission
is free; no reservations are
required.
Storyteller Celia Goodman
will spin tales for young
listeners 1:30 p.m. Dec. 6. Ad-
mission is free; no reserva-
tions are required.
