Dear Friend:
Imagine the most elegant wedding or bar/bat mitzvah.

Chances are you have been to one of these simchas and marvelled over the amount
of food that was served. Now imagine going to bed hungry because you can't afford

to buy enough food to feed your family.

there
are who
Jewish people in our communit y who never have the chance to
marvel over a meal. Just having a meal in front of them, on a regular basis, is a

wonder.
There are 3,000-5,000 Jewish people in Metro Detroit for whom three meals a day
are just a fantasy; people whose money runs out three weeks into every month. These

people are our neighbors. They are mispacha. Theyare in need.

Yad Ezra is one of the few places these people can turn to for help. The agency
provides free packaged kosher food to the Metro Detroit Jewish community. Each
month over 1,000 people are served as they give awa y nearly 25,000 pounds of free

food.
On Wednesday, December 2, 1992 the community will come together to raise funds
necessary to help Yad Ezra at a simple benefit dinner at Adat Shalom Synagogue. We
need your support and hope we can count on you to be there.
