Congregation Shir Tikvah and the Midrasha will co- sponsor two courses Sundays, Nov. 1-22. "Today's Supreme Court Decisions: Looking through Jewish Eyes" will meet 9:45-10:45 a.m. "Back to the Future: Jewish Com- munities throughout His- tory" will meet 11 a.m.-noon and will explore Jewish life in various communities focusing on social, political, religious and intellectual movements. They will meet at Costello Elementary School, 1333 Hamman Road, Troy. Temple Shir Shalom and the Midrasha will co-sponsor a course titled "Contem- porary Issues in Jewish Life" Mondays for four weeks November 2-23, 7:30-8:30 p.m. at Temple Shir Shalom. Temple Beth El and the Midrasha will co-sponsor a course titled, "Finding Our Way: Jewish Text and the Lives We Lead Today." This course is based on Barry Holtz's book Finding Our Way. For beginners with little or no Hebrew background, a course in Hebrew reading led by Jeff Perlstein will be held Tuesday evenings for five weeks beginning Nov. 3 7:30-9 p.m.; there is a registration fee. For in- formation and reservations, call Machon, 967-0888. , Blood Drive Set At Adat Shalom Adat Shalom Synagogue c, will hold a blood donor drive 3-9 p.m. Nov. 9 at the synagogue. Anyone in good health, 17 c: years or older, weighing at least 110 pounds is eligible to donate blood. Red Cross specialists will handle all pro- cedures.
